A man arrested near Paris and suspected of plotting a terror attack was convicted in Belgium last year along with the ringleader of the November atrocities in the French capital.
The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Reda Kriket, was found guilty in absentia in Brussels, together with Abdelhamid Abaaoud, of being part of a jihadist network planning to go to Syria, according to police sources.
He was arrested in the northwest suburb of Argenteuil, late on Thursday night with a quantity of explosives.
