Exactly 272 Daesh targets in Syria’s al-Bab were shelled on the 157th day of Operation Euphrates Shield, killing 22 terrorists, the military said in a statement on Friday. According to the statement, shelling destroyed hideouts, defensive positions, command control centers, and weapons and vehicles used by the terrorists.
Meanwhile, Turkish jets hit 24 Daesh targets in al-Bab and the Bzagah districts, destroying 21 buildings used as hideouts, two so-called headquarters and an ammunition depot. Four bomb-laden vehicles were also destroyed in the operations, the military added. The military highlighted that Turkish Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams have successfully destroyed 73 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) over the span of 24 hours, which is a high number, considering the ‘arduous task.’
