Investigators found improvised explosive devices (IEDs), guns, drugs, and several pounds of explosive material while searching the home of a suspect in two explosions in Vancouver.
Pedro Franco-Gonzalez was arrested Friday on first-degree arson, possessing prohibited explosive devices and possession with the intent to deliver. More charges are expected, the Vancouver Police Department said.
According to police, there were two IED explosions this year in the parking lot of the St. James apartments on Northeast 18th Street – one on July 29 and another on October 2.
An investigation led them to believe Franco-Gonzalez was involved. With the help of several agencies, officers served a search warrant at his apartment and found the IEDs, explosive material, firearms and drugs.
